FAQ's

  • Do I need to book an appointment?
    Yes please! We run on an appointment only basis to ensure we provide you with the best customer service. You will have exclusive use of the boutique, the full attention of our expertly trained stylists plus a glass of fizz (non alcoholic). You'll even get your appointment fee deducted from your dress balance if you purchase on the day! To book an appointment: Use the booking system on the website here
  • How much is an appointment?
    We have 2 fantastic appointment options to choose from; Vip Prom Queen Appointment, 45 minutes (2 guests, you and a parent) is £15 - book here VIP Prom Party Appointment ,1 Hour 30 minutes (6 guests you, 2 friends and 3 parents) is £45 - book here Your appointment fee will be redeemable against your dress purchase if you buy on the day!
  • Who can I bring with me?
    In our VIP Prom Queen appointment we only allow 2 guests; The teen and their parent. For the VIP Prom Party appointment, we allow 6 guests; 3 teens and 3 parents only There will be no exceptions to this, anyone who attends Pretty Impressive without a parent will be turned away and your appointment fee will not be refunded.
  • What is your price and size range?
    We try to be inclusive with both pricing and sizing at Pretty Impressive. Prices range from £200-£500 and Sizes range from a UK2-18
  • What if the dress I want to try on isn't in my size or preferred colour?
    We do not carry stock of every dress in every size and colourway, however, our samples are a variety of sizes and we have clever ways of showing you how the dress will fit in your size. We also have a huge range of colours so you will most likely be able to see your chosen colour in a different style of dress. When you have selected your dress style and preferred colour we will then measure you and order your dress specifically for you!
  • When should I order my dress and what is the order process?
    We are already taking bookings for 2025! Dresses can take up to 4 months to be made and delivered in your chosen colour and size and as we also offer school exclusivity, it is best to get booked in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Once you have chosen your dress we will measure you and discuss the best size to order. Your expert stylist will give you guidance but ultimately the choice is yours. We cannot, however, accept responsibility if a dress is too big or too small and we cannot return/refund if this were to happen. A 50% deposit is required to order your dress and the remaining balance is due when your dress arrives in store.
  • Can someone else from my school buy the same dress as me?
    We NEVER sell the same dress, in the same colour to the same school, that is our Pretty Promise! We may however, in special circumstances, sell your dress in a completely different colourway (eg; if you buy your dress in bright red, we may sell it in green or blue but we would not sell it in pink/burgundy) This will be discussed and agreed with you before you purchase. We want you to feel special and unique and we will never disclose names of who has bought which dress. Where possible we will always encourage each teen to buy a different dress. Please note: We cannot be held responsible for anyone buying the same dress style in the same colour from another store. This is completely out of our hands. We do however try to stock some very unique dresses and designers that cannot be found in close proximity, giving you the confidence that you'll fully impress at prom.
  • When do I collect my dress?
    Once your dress arrives in store we will call you to let you know the exciting news and get you booked in to come and try it on before you take it home.
  • What if my dress needs altering?
    We have a team of inhouse seamstresses who can provide basic alterations such as; length and small take in. The work and cost must be agreed before any work is carried out. We are also happy to recommend local businesses who can help as our inhouse team can get booked up quickly.
  • Can I buy my dress online?
    We don't offer online shopping currently. We would prefer you to have the full prom buying experience in store and ensure you are happy with your chosen dress before purchasing.
  • Is there a returns policy?
    Our returns policy can be found here We will never push you to purchase a dress. We will always give you plenty of time and our caring expert guidance so that you have full confidence in the dress you have chosen. Most of our dresses are made to order and not sold off the peg. In the unlikely event that you change your mind about the dress you chose and no longer wish to wear it we will not be able to offer you a return/refund.
